My Curly Hair Journey with Eve Curls

I’m Inez, 23 years old, daughter of a Croatian father and a Dutch mother. For the longest time, I didn’t even know I had curls. My mom and I would just brush my hair every day – we didn’t know any better. The result? A huge frizz ball. I looked like Hermione from Harry Potter.

One day, I went to a fancy hairdresser with a gift voucher. For the first time, my hair was diffused… and suddenly, my curls appeared! My mom and I were both speechless. Finally, my Croatian roots were showing.

But after that, it was still a struggle. How was I supposed to take care of my curls properly? I didn’t have much help and had to figure it out all by myself. During lockdown, I started experimenting. Through a friend, I discovered Eve Curls. Back then they were still a small startup, but their story – a mom creating products for her curly-haired sons – really touched me.
